5 Ways to Recharge Your Motivation

"People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily."
-Zig Ziglar

People often get failed and suddenly they start doing very unusual things in order to balance the negative feeling offered by the society around them. Some people fall down and stay there while the Special ones fall down and bounce back up with loads of enthusiasm and finally succeed in achieving there goals .

Here are some daily motivation tricks that work for me-

1.  Get started!

This is by far the most important tip in this article, because in the end, all of the other tips in the world won’t make as much of a difference as this simple and timeless instruction: Sit down and start!  Do you feel the push-back of laziness?  There’s no better way to overcome it than to just start.  Reading more about motivation won’t help.  Reviewing your to-do lists won’t help.  Only doing actually helps get the momentum going.  And the only way to do something is to just start.

So stop thinking about how hard the task is going to be or how long it’s going to take you.  Just get started!  Not starting is failing.  Start telling yourself, “As soon as I start working, I’ll feel more motivated.”  Because once you start, you’ll realize it’s not nearly as hard as you thought it would be.  Read Getting Things Done.

2.  Spend time with people who inspire you.

What better way to recharge yourself for improvement than spending time with someone who inspires you.  They are smart, driven and motivate you to be better.  Study their qualities.  Study their habits.  Surround yourself with them, talk to them, learn from them; they are already living and producing results at a level you admire and aspire to.  Compare stories, successes and failures.  Let their inner light guide you.

3.  Think about how far you have come.

You have made so much progress, you just don’t realize it.  Open your eyes and give yourself credit for all that you have accomplished.  Think about it.  Write down your past successes.  Consider using a journal to keep track of them.  You’ll probably be pleasantly surprised when you review your results.  It’s a great motivator to see how much you have improved and how far you have come.  You felt at the top of your game before and you can do it again.

And don’t forget to be patient.  The problem with many of us is that we expect quick results.  Think long term.  If you want to run a marathon, you won’t be able to do it overnight.  If you don’t see the results you want, don’t give up, give it time.  Think of your goal as a long-term journey, and your slump is just a little bump in the road.  In the mean time, be happy with your progress.  Read The Magic of Thinking Big.

4.  Embrace failure as a positive learning experience.

Ask yourself: What have I learned from this?  As Michael Jordan once said:

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Do not judge failed attempts and mistakes as an indication of your future potential, but as part of the growth process.  Something does not have to end well for it to have been one of the most valuable experiences of a lifetime.  When times get tough, take a deep breath, and know that most great things come when you least expect it.  Being defeated is a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent.  And most people that gave up didn’t realize how close they were to success.  Push through!

5.  Let the whole world know what you’re up to.

When you’re trying to do something you’ve never done before, it can take a lot of concentration and effort, and life can get lonely pretty quickly.  To keep your motivation thriving, it’s important to let others know what you’re up to.  Don’t be shy!  Announce to the world that you are going to achieve a certain goal by a certain date.

Trap yourself.  None of us want to look bad in front of friends, family and co-workers.  If you’ve made a commitment to all of them, then the shame of saying you didn’t try will outweigh the effort of doing it.  Hold yourself accountable, don’t just commit once, but commit to giving progress updates to everyone at least once a week.

REMEMBER "YOUR LIFE IS WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO BE, IT'S JUST AS SIMPLE AS THAT"

A lot can happen over coffee !...really?

He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he so average, nobody paid attention to him.

At the end of the party, he finally found courage to invite her to have coffee with him.
She was surprised, but out of politeness, she promised. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, waiting for coffee
She kept on thinking, "Please, let it get over soon...let me go home...."
It arrived and suddenly, he asked the waiter. "Would you please get me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee!"

Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously, "Why this habit?"
He took a couple of sips and replied, "When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea, I liked playing in the sea! I can still remember the taste of the sea.. This salty coffee...every time
I drink it, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown... I miss my hometown so much... I miss my parents who are still out there."
While saying this, tears filled his eyes.

She was deeply touched.

A man who can tell out his homesickness, must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home.
Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really great date, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that actually, he was a man who met all her expectations: he was tolerant, kind hearted, warm, caring. He was such a good man and hadn't been for the salt in the coffee, she'd never have really known him!

The rest of the story was just like any other beautiful love story: the princess married to the prince, and they lived a very happy married life.
And yes! every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, just the way he liked it!

After 40 years of marital bliss, he died after a short illness.

One day, she found a letter he had left for her:

"My dearest,
Please forgive me, but I lied to you.. Only once.. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous, I asked for salt instead of sugar! I was too embarrassesd to admit it, so I just went ahead.
I never thought that could bring about such a frank and intimate conversation between the two of us!
Later, I tried to tell you the truth so many times but was afraid you'd think I was a liar and never again believe me ...
Now I'm dying, and am afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee,
as a matter of fact I hate it! What a strange bad taste.. But since you made it for me with so much love, I drank it all my life!
Please forgive me, darling.. for lying to you first in that Coffee Shop and then not telling you the truth everytime you made coffee for me! I am not lying now when I say, I couldn't have that coffee any other way!
- still madly in love with you"

If anybody ask her: "How did that salted coffee taste?"
"It's sweet." She always replied.

The last 'hug'......

A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on a motorcycle.
Girl: Slow down. Im scared.
Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No its not. Please, its too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug. (Girl hugs him)
Guy: Can you take my helmet off and put it on? Its bugging me.
Girl: Okay. Now please slow down!

In the paper the next day: A motorcycle had crashed into a building
because of break failure. Two people were on the motorcycle, but only one survived.

The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his breaks broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him, felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so she would live even though it meant he would die.

Should LOVE be respected?

Once upon a time all feelings and emotions went to a coastal island for a vacation. According to their nature, each was having a good time. Suddenly, a warning of an impending storm was announced and everyone was advised to evacuate the island.

The announcement caused sudden panic. All rushed to their boats. Even damaged boats were quickly repaired and commissioned for duty.

Yet, Love did not wish to flee quickly. There was so much to do. But as the clouds darkened, Love realised it was time to leave. Alas, there were no boats to spare. Love looked around with hope.

Just then Prosperity passed by in a luxurious boat. Love shouted, “Prosperity, could you please take me in your boat?”

“No,” replied Prosperity, “my boat is full of precious possessions, gold and silver. There is no place for you.”

A little later Vanity came by in a beautiful boat. Again Love shouted, “Could you help me, Vanity? I am stranded and need a lift. Please take me with you.”

Vanity responded haughtily, “No, I cannot take you with me. My boat will get soiled with your muddy feet.”

Sorrow passed by after some time. Again, Love asked for help. But it was to no avail. “No, I cannot take you with me. I am so sad. I want to be by myself.”

When Happiness passed by a few minutes later, Love again called for help. But Happiness was so happy that it did not look around, hardly concerned about anyone.

Love was growing restless and dejected. Just then somebody called out, “Come Love, I will take you with me.” Love did not know who was being so magnanimous, but jumped on to the boat, greatly relieved that she would reach a safe place.

On getting off the boat, Love met Knowledge. Puzzled, Love inquired, “Knowledge, do you know who so generously gave me a lift just when no one else wished to help?”

Knowledge smiled, “Oh, that was Time.”

“And why would Time stop to pick me and take me to safety?” Love wondered.

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and replied, “Because only Time knows your true greatness and what you are capable of. Only Love can bring peace and great happiness in this world.”

“The important message is that when we are prosperous, we overlook love. When we feel important, we forget love. Even in happiness and sorrow we forget love. Only with time do we realize the importance of love. Why wait that long? Why not make love a part of your life today?”

A heartbreaking love story

A boy and a girl were in love.

When the girl's father came to know
about their love, he did not like it at
all, and so began to protest about it.

Now it happened that the two lovers
decided to leave their homes for a happy
future.

The girl's father started searching for
the two lovers but could not find
them .

At last, he accepted their love and
asked them to come back home thru a
local newspaper. Her father said "If
you both come back I will allow you to marry the
guy you love, I accept that you loved
each other truly."

So in this way, their love won and they
returned home.

The couple next day went to town to shop
for the wedding dress. He was dressed
in a white shirt that day. While he was
crossing the road to the other side to
get some drinks for his wife, a car
came and hit him and he died on the spot..

The girl was devastated and lost her
senses. It was only after sometime that
she recovered from her shock.

The funeral and cremation was the very
next day because he had died horribly.

Two nights later, the girl's mother had
a dream in which she saw an old lady.
The old lady asked her mother to wash the blood
stains of the guy from her daughter's
dress as soon as possible. But her
mother ignored the dream.

The next night her father had the same
dream , he also ignored it. Then the
girl had the same dream the next night, she
woke up in fear and told her mother
about the dream. Her mother asked her
to wash the clothes with the blood
stains immediately.

She washed the stains but some remained.
Next night she again had the same
dream. She again washed the stains but some
still remained. But again the next
night she had the same dream and this
time the old lady gave her a last
warning to wash the blood stain, or
else something terrible would happen.

This time the girl tried her best to
wash the stains, and the clothes
nearly tore, but some stains still remained.

She was very tired.

In the late evening the same day while
she was alone at home, someone knocked
on the door. When she opened the door
she saw the same old lady of her dream
standing at her door. She got very
scared and fainted.

The old lady woke her up... and gave her
a blue object, which shocked the girl.

She asked "What is this...?" The old
lady replied...

..
"This is Nirma Washing Powder"

"Washing powder nirma,Washing powder
nirma
Doodh si safedi nirma se aaye,
Rangeen kapde bhi khil khil jaye,
sabki pasand nirma
Washing powder nirma,Washing powder
nirma.Nirma"

Reservation joke

Effects of Reservation after 20 years

Sun is rising as usual in the east .I am standing here outside the school, waiting for my 10 yr kid. He studies in class 2. Only this year he could get admission into the school. For the last 5 yrs admissions were closed for the general category students.

School bell rings. I can see a lot of happy children coming out of the gate, I waited for half an hour and my kid came at last after other children. General students are not allowed to cross the gate unless other OBC/SC/ST students have crossed the gates.

OBC/SC/ST fathers drive away their children in classy cars. But I have to walkback home with my kid a 5km stretch. I lost my car some years back when Govt. came with a rule that general people
have to deposit a tax equal to cost of their cars. Failing which I had to sell the car.
As far as buses are concerned, the seats in buses are reserved for OBC/SC/ST. So no place there also. After walking some 5km in scorching heat I finally reached home.

It was Wednesday … shit no electricity. Every Mon, Wed, Friday is power cut in the houses of General category population So that SC/ST/OBC can be uplifted by providing them with every opportunity and in that consideration electricity is an important factor.
Its 10:00 pm in night no electricity at home. It’s very hot inside the fourwalls of home .So I dare to step out in park with my wife and kid.

I seated myself with my family on a secluded bench in garden. It was hardly 5min. a guard came to us strolling in the park. He asked me what caste you belong to. I said with some hesitation. G..General. He asked me to pay a fine of Rs.200 and get out of the park. My Fault… The bench I was sitting on was meant for again the SC/ST/OBC . For their upliftment peace of mind is one essential thing. So Government came with this decision to reserve benches for them. Kudos to them…

Its early in the morning …the newspaperwala just knocked the door. I took the newspaper and
started reading. Its independence day . I never used to forget these days some 20 yrs back. My kid hardly knows what 15th august is, because I never told him any stories of greatness of our country or anything related to country. I don’t feel like telling him the failures after freedom.

On front page of newspaper, in a corner their is a news about a OBC member getting 6 months imprisonment in "BAL SUDHAR GRAHA" from a juvenile court for murdering and raping a six year old girl. Yes the rules have been amended, since the last 5 years. The Culprit was a 25 year old OBC, so age relaxation was provided for trial of crime. So he was taken to juvenile court, since there is an age relaxation for OBC/SC/ST.

About 11 am some one gave me the BAD news about demise of one of my neighbor and friend Mr. Mehta. I went to his house for condolence next day, his body was lying there still rotting in the heat. I asked his son about the Cremation .His son told me "Many reserved category people have died yesterday so we are not getting entry to cremation ground”. This rule is the latest from Government where the seats in cremation ground will be reserved for SC/ST/OBC for their upliftment.

Finally next day Mehta-ji was cremated could see sun setting through the Flames burning a liberated Body, liberated from caste and creed. I was surprised sun still sets in the west?
it was about 9 pm , I was about to sleep in my bed my son came to me with innocence in his eyes , inquisitively he asked me the question what is reservation? I asked him where you listened that he suddenly burst in tears… I asked him to keep quite. But I could listen through his sobs "mujhe bhi reservation chahiye(I too want reservation)".

How can I convince him it’s no other toy in the market I can get for him?
He kept crying that night, claiming many of "his classmates have got reservation". To make him quiet I said ok; ill buy you reservation at your next B’day.
HOPE he understands the bloody concept soon. Bye Bye India !!

I am not against OBCs, I am against reservation.

Attitude... its never impossible!!

Read it sincerely........

An old man lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to spade his potato
garden, but it was very hard work.

His only son, who would have helped him, was in prison. The old man
wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation:

Dear Son,

I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant

my potato garden this year. I hate to misdoing the garden, because your
mother always loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be
digging up a garden plot.If you were here, all my troubles would be
over.

I know you would dig the plot, for me if you weren't in the prison.

Love,
Dad

Shortly , the old man received this telegram:

"For Heaven's sake, Dad, don't dig up the garden !!That's where I

buried the GUNS!!"

At 4 a.m., the next morning, a dozen FBI agents and local police
officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any
guns.
Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what

happened and asked him what to do next.

His son's reply was:

"Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad It's the best I could do for
you from here."

NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART, YOU CAN DO IT. IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT MATTERS NOT WHERE YOU ARE.
Attitude is everything......

Even a single hand is enough to support

The following true story captured my heart.

lets see what u feel.....

It happened several years ago in the Paris opera house. A famous singer had been contracted to sing, and ticket sales were booming. In fact, the night of he concert found the house packed and every ticket sold.

The feeling of anticipation and excitement was in the air as the house manager took the stage and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your enthusiastic support. I am afraid that due to illness, the man whom you've all come to hear will not be performing tonight. However, we have found a suitable substitute we hope will provide you with comparable entertainment." The crowd groaned in disappointment and failed to hear the announcer mention the stand-in's name. The environment turned from excitement to frustration.

The stand-in performer gave the performance everything he had. When he had finished, there was nothing but an uncomfortable silence. No one applauded. Suddenly, from the balcony, a little boy stood up and shouted, "Daddy, I think you are wonderful!" The crowd broke into thunderous applause.

We all need people in our Lives who are willing to stand up once in a while and say, "I think you are wonderful. "

Tragedy or a blessing?

Years ago in Scotland, the Clark family had a dream. Clark and his wife worked and saved, making plans for their nine children and themselves to travel to the United States. It had taken years, but they had finally saved enough money and had gotten passports and reservations for the whole family on a new liner to the United States.

The entire family was filled with anticipation and excitement about their new life. However, seven days before their departure, the youngest son was bitten by a dog. The doctor sewed up the boy but hung a yellow sheet on the Clarks' front door. Because of the possibility of rabies, they were being quarantined for fourteen days.

The family's dreams were dashed. They would not be able to make the trip to America as they had planned. The father, filled with disappointment and anger, stomped to the dock to watch the ship leave - without the Clark family. The father shed tears of disappointment and cursed both his son and God for their misfortune.

Five days later, the tragic news spread throughout Scotland - the mighty Titanic had sunk. The unsinkable ship had sunk, taking hundreds of lives with it. The Clark family was to have been on that ship, but because the son had been bitten by a dog, they were left behind in Scotland.

When Mr. Clark heard the news, he hugged his son and thanked him for saving the family. He thanked God for saving their lives and turning what he had felt was a tragedy into a blessing........so never feel discouraged in your life....because agar man ka ho to achha,..na ho to aur bi achha......
